Hydraulic Headbox
Headboxes play a crucial role in paper machinery, offering efficient and reliable performance to meet various production requirements. The hydraulic headbox is well-suited for a wide range of paper machines with speed spanning from 400 to 1800 m/min. The pulp is introduced into the headbox and passes through a conical header that distributes the pulp uniformly across the width of the machine. This even distribution is vital for the consistent thickness and quality of the paper sheet. Before the pulp enters the step diffusers, dilution water is injected into the pulp stream. This process helps in adjusting the consistency of the pulp, allowing for precise adjustments to the cross-direction basis weight of the paper. The ability to fine-tune the pulp consistency at this stage is essential for achieving uniform paper density and quality across the entire width of the paper.
